historic district status by urging the Landmarks Commission to
agree to a specific reasonable timetable for making a decision?
Would you support a more open process at the LPC as a responsible
city agency?
Gordon: Yes I would.
Hopkins: a. Yes. b. Yes.
James: In the interest of good
governance, transparency and accountability, I support a streamlining
of the landmarks process by the LPC that would create reasonable
timetables for making decisions and a more open process overall.
As a result, the LPC would become a more responsible City agency.
McNally: City agency processes
should be transparent to the public. I would support improving
the transparency of the Landmarks Preservation Commission. Improving
transparency includes notification of the specific timetable in
which to designate a neighborhood.
Razvi: Yes, I believe in open meetings.
Schiffman: I would work with the
LPC to develop a reasonable timetable for making decisions and,
of course, try and make the process more open.
Sharpe: Yes.
Tulloch: Yes.
